Despite sharing what I’m creating online for years (and screaming at all you honeys to do the same!), I’ve been holding myself back from fully pulling back the curtain. Until now.
There’s so much happening behind the scenes in my world and I wanna share it with ya. Personally, I love seeing the messy little details of how art gets made. I wanna see inside everyone’s sketchbooks. In their studios. I wanna take a nosey at half-baked ideas and see the process of projects coming together.
I suppose I haven’t been sharing as much as I’d like because the reality of creating really is messy and I felt weird about making my incomplete ideas permanent on the grid.
Coming back to communicating in this format feels spacious. It feels in motion and that makes me a lot more comfortable about sharing my own process - which involves projects that I’ll start and maybe never finish and others that I’ll complete in a frenzied afternoon that blow up in ways I didn’t even dream of.
Creativity isn’t logical or linear. Seeing how other people move, opens doors for us to move differently, too (or more feel comfortable with the innate chaos of our own creative process). My goal with sharing more behind the scenes of my art and business is that I’ll be able to highlight more of the energy and depth that I put into my work and also that it will offer you some relief in knowing that big things can get done in the chaos.
Let’s fucking do this
